Classed among the Paramecia, this fruit hands its bearer command over scrolls that behave in unusual ways, from storing objects to producing drawings. Raizo of Wano is the ninja who consumed it. The title shortens the Japanese word for a scroll, and it also plays on the onomatopoeia for paper coiling up or winding around a thing.

Scrolls appear out of nowhere at the wielder's summons and answer to his mind. Their size shifts however he pleases, growing tall enough to loom over a person or stretching long enough to loop around Kaidou's immense dragon form, and they unfurl in a near-instant. Storage is the defining trick: an incoming blow, even a stream of energy such as fire breath, gets swallowed and locked away, then loosed later at the user's word to potentially rebound on the one who launched it, wrapped around their whole body. Drawings sealed inside can also be brought to life, which Raizo uses to conjure copies of himself. Aside from the usual vulnerability to seawater, no flaw has surfaced.

Raizo showed the ability openly for the first time in combat with Kaidou, trapping the Emperor's fiery breath in a scroll and hurling it back at him. Because he understands nothing of Devil Fruits, he treats the whole thing as a jutsu among his ninja arts. His Ninpo: Bunshin no Jutsu lays out scrolls under his feet from which drawn clones rise up to bewilder foes. With Ninpo: Maki Maki no Jutsu he pulls a scroll from the air that balloons to catch an attack, and its follow-up Hokan coils that scroll around the enemy before releasing their own stored strike back across them. His Katon hoards fire in a scroll and lets it out as a focused burst, first tried on Aramaki's wooden frame.
