Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Allosaurus

This Ancient Zoan grants the ability to become an allosaurus, a fierce theropod predator from prehistory, switching freely between a full dinosaur shape and a part-human form. X Drake holds this power, and it carries a notable distinction: it was the very first Ancient Zoan revealed in the story, and the first such fruit to receive an official name, a designation that arrived roughly 420 chapters after the form first appeared. It is also the lone Ryu Ryu model wielded by a member of the Marines.

Being a carnivorous Ancient Zoan, the fruit equips the user with traits geared toward brawling that ordinary Zoans lack, namely jagged teeth and claws. In his complete allosaurus shape Drake swells to a size surpassing a Pacifista, with jaws powerful enough to chomp through that cyborg's armor, a material reputedly tougher than steel. His tail doubles as a battering weapon able to hurl people aside, and like every Ancient Zoan he gains durability well beyond standard transformers. His hybrid build runs smaller than the full beast yet remains large, freeing him to swing his trademark axe-sword weapons. The fruit carries no special drawbacks beyond the usual Devil Fruit limitations.

X Drake is the sole owner of this power. When fully transformed he fights chiefly by biting, snapping prey between his jaws and crushing them before spitting them down, coating his teeth in Armament Haki to grip Logia foes. He also feints with bites to set up surprise tail strikes. In hybrid form he channels the fruit's strength boost into his dual-wielded axe-sword style, hitting hard enough to fell an ancient giant in a single blow. Across the Wano arc, artists have repeatedly revised his tail's neural spines, and the anime drapes them in skin to form a raised ridge.
