Summary

As the sorcerers prepare to flee Dagon's coastal domain through Megumi's escape hole, Toji Fushiguro drops in instead. It is explained that Ogami's seance, normally ending when the host's cursed energy runs dry, has gone haywire: the grandson's soul held no cursed energy and Toji's overwriting body consumes none, so the technique never stops, leaving Toji a vessel of pure instinct fighting until he breaks. He snatches the Playful Cloud from Maki by raw strength alone, then turns it on Dagon.

Toji obliterates Dagon's shikigami with effortless speed, running across the water and bludgeoning the curse with the three-section staff. He shrugs off swarms of fish, eels, and giant isopods, sharpens the weapon's tip, and ultimately drives it straight through Dagon's face and eye before breaking the chain and battering the curse into ash. The domain collapses, Megumi is dragged outside, and Jogo arrives to mourn his fallen friend. Within a heartbeat, Jogo burns Nanami and Maki with explosive flames and badly injures Naobito, only to sense a freed Sukuna finger nearby and break off to find it.

Key Events

Mimiko and Nanako force-feed the unconscious Yuji one of Sukuna's fingers. Jogo finds them, burns them when they refuse to say how many he ate, then feeds Yuji ten more fingers at once, gambling on Pseudo-Geto's claim that a large dose could temporarily wrest control to the King of Curses. Sukuna takes over, heals the body, and tears off Jogo's hand for daring to stand too close. Confronting the trio with overwhelming malice, he cuts the top of Jogo's head when the curse fails to bow low enough, remarking that the heaviest boughs hang lowest.

Nanako tries to bargain, offering a finger's location if Sukuna will kill the imposter wearing Geto's body and free Suguru. Instead, Sukuna violently severs Mimiko's head, then slices Nanako apart into a spray of blood when she attempts her camera-based technique. When Jogo says he wants nothing but Sukuna's full revival and a binding vow to keep Yuji's body, Sukuna refuses, revealing his own plans. Amused, he offers Jogo a deal: land a single hit on him, and Sukuna will join their group and kill every human in Shibuya save one. Jogo accepts.

Notes

The episode adapts chapters covering Toji's exorcism of Dagon and Sukuna's awakening. Toji's silent recognition of his son, sensing Megumi without knowing him, sets up his later pivotal moment. Sukuna dismisses Nanako's camera technique as boring once he understands it manipulates whatever is photographed. Anime changes extend the Toji versus Dagon duel and depict Mimiko and Nanako burning more graphically before their survival.
