Key Events

A shadowy figure, flanked by several cursed spirits, is revealed to have spawned the womb with one of Sukuna's fingers, all to gather intelligence on the King of Curses' new host. A single-eyed curse grumbles that a precious finger went to waste on the scheme, but the man soothes him before strolling into a diner to request a table for one. Elsewhere, Gojo speaks with Kiyotaka Ijichi about losing one of his students and concludes the higher-ups orchestrated the mission to have Itadori killed while he was away. At the school, Doctor Shoko Ieiri readies herself to dissect Yuji and learn more about his body.

Outside, when Megumi mentions that Yuji had wanted the two of them to lead long lives, both feign indifference, yet he picks up on Nobara's quiet grief. Maki Zenin then turns up with fellow second-years Toge Inumaki and Panda to cheer the pair and draw them into the Kyoto Goodwill Event, a contest setting Tokyo's students against their Kyoto sister school counterparts. Megumi and Nobara agree to compete in their fallen friend's memory and vow to become stronger by whatever means it takes.

Notes

Inside the diner, the disguised Geto goes on conferring with the cursed spirits, while Jogo insists curses are humanity's true form and the fakes deserve culling. Geto charts the road to victory: pin down Satoru Gojo and recruit Ryomen Sukuna as an ally. Though Jogo insists Yuji has perished, Geto remains unconvinced. Far down inside Yuji's mind, Sukuna peers at his irritating other half and warns him against staring uninvited, only for Yuji to dare the King of Curses into descending for a fight. This chapter belongs to the Fearsome Womb Arc and was adapted across Episode 5 and Episode 6.
