The 130th chapter, the forty-seventh part of the Shibuya Incident, has Mahito unleash a lightning-quick domain that nearly ends Todo for good. Refusing to fold, the top-knot sorcerer makes a final play to set up Yuji, while the curse climbs into a terrifying new shape.
Staking it all on a domain that closes in a mere fifth of a second, Mahito catches both foes off balance. Todo reacts by raising Simple Domain, the technique he absorbed from Yuki Tsukumo, while Yuji is already sprinting to exorcise the curse before its transfiguration can take hold. Faster than either, Mahito collapses the usual two stages, manifesting an innate domain and loosing a cursed technique, into one motion, an awakening his earlier Black Flash had unlocked.
For a beat the domain plants Mahito inside Sukuna's own innate space, where he needles the King of Curses, bragging that Yuji will be dead long before any swap of consciousness could rescue him. Back outside, Todo's left hand starts to warp beneath Mahito's touch. He severs it himself, leaving an opening, and Mahito rams a Black Flash punch into his stomach. Todo endures only because he reflexively poured cursed energy into the spot at impact.
Mahito's focus snaps when Todo's necklace clatters down and springs open a small frame holding photos of Yuji and Takada. Pouncing on the slip, Todo claps using Mahito's amputated hand and fires Boogie Woogie one final time, trading places with Yuji, who buries another Black Flash in the curse's face. Drained and broken, Todo drops but survives, and Yuji thanks him before turning to end the fight by himself. Backed into a corner, Mahito spins up a Polymorphic Soul Isomer to stall, then breaks from a cocoon reborn. Reaching his final stage, the curse evolves through a new application of Idle Transfiguration into his Instant Spirit Body, the Distorted Killing form, then demands that Yuji greet his rebirth with birthday wishes.
This installment belongs to the Shibuya Incident Arc and was gathered into Volume 15, first serialized in 2020 and adapted in Episode 45. A flashback features Gojo, Nobuko Takada turns up only in a photograph, and Yuki Tsukumo is referenced. Akutami's author note jokes about buying protein once a year and feeling lighter for it.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
