The 131st chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, the forty-eighth part of the Shibuya Incident, pits Yuji alone against a freshly evolved Mahito whose hardened body shrugs off every blow, forcing him to gamble on one perfect strike.
Shibuya lies in ruins from the running clash between Mahito and the sorcerers, and Yuji stands amid the wreckage facing his greatest foe in a new shape. Through Instant Spirit Body of Distorted Killing, Mahito has reached what he calls his true form, declaring himself reborn and asking Yuji to mark the occasion with birthday wishes. He insists his rebirth will only be complete once Yuji is dead, treating the duel as the final piece of his self-discovery.
The two trade strikes at blinding speed. Mahito opens with a shockwave from a single arm sweep, which Yuji ducks before launching a kick caught by the dark hairs sprouting from the curse's head. Yuji blocks a tail whip with his knee, parries a punch, and lands an uppercut to the torso, yet his cursed-energy charged blow does nothing at all. Mahito's body now exceeds even the hardness Choso reached at the close of their earlier battle, and Yuji's attacks simply stop reaching him.
Overwhelmed, Yuji is hammered into the street and crashes to the floor of a vast crater where ruptured pipes flood the ground. Realizing only a maximum-power Black Flash can break through, he begins charging. His leg sinks into the rising water, and when Mahito presses the advantage, the curse instead coughs blood as patches of his body crack apart, the delayed damage from being hit with Black Flash right after expanding his domain finally surfacing. Both fighters agree they have plenty left in them. As Mahito rushes through a curtain of kicked-up water, Yuji ducks the assault, parries with his charging fist held back, and the two end up positioned to deliver decisive blows with their free hands.
The chapter sits within the Shibuya Incident Arc and was compiled in Volume 15, first published in 2020 and adapted in Episode 45. Choso appears in a flashback for the comparison of hardened bodies. Akutami's note quips about renovating his studio to boost his efficiency.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
