Chapter 200

Sukuna confirms himself as the Angel's quarry, the figure known to them as the Disgraced One. While Yuji and Megumi are still reeling from that, a startling event erupts inside the colony, one with heavy weight for the Culling Game that grew out of meetings Kenjaku conducted over nine months with governments across the world.

Once Sukuna makes his claim, Megumi yanks Yuji back to reality by saying his name. Yuji covers, pretending he feels sick so Hana can swap in, then mimes the revelation through charades. Megumi misreads the gestures until he sees that Yuji wanted the Angel, not Hana, kept in the dark, and deduces Yuji is the real target. Reasoning the Angel can wipe out Sukuna permanently, Yuji figures the King of Curses underrates him and resolves to die once Tsumiki is saved, finishing Sukuna and restoring Satoru Gojo. Megumi sees the new obstacle, his deeper fear being that Yuji will throw his life away without flinching. Their exchange snaps off when the Angel reports a surge of arrivals, Kogane showing over eight hundred players filing into the colony.

Months back, in September, Kenjaku met governments worldwide, exposing the reality of jujutsu and floating cursed energy as an alternate power source. At a later session with the American government, he passed out glasses that let ordinary people see cursed spirits and summoned a few via Cursed Spirit Manipulation as proof. Backing him was Cyrus Veil, an American official whose remit covered the federal Office of Energy and Environment; he urged the President to study cursed energy before the country fell behind in the sustainable-power race.

Using surveillance footage Kokichi Muta had gathered, he displayed recent jujutsu incidents while Cyrus argued that no power source in history would burn cleaner than cursed energy. The President wavered even under steady pressure. Kenjaku then warned that Tokyo would stop functioning in November and that many sorcerers would converge in one spot, asking what the President intended, which left the official shaken at the prospect of ordering sorcerers seized.

The two hundredth chapter, part of the Culling Game Arc, ran in issue 45 of 2022 and released on October 11, 2022, collected in Volume 23. Its English title is Direct Talks, Part 1, and the cover shows Sukuna, Yuji, Megumi, Hana, and Takaba. It introduces Cyrus Veil. Featured powers include the glasses cursed tool, Kenjaku's Cursed Spirit Manipulation, Muta's mentioned Puppet Manipulation, and Uraume's Ice Formation. Muta, Todo, Nanami, and Gojo appear in flashback.
