The 41st chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen. Nobara refuses Momo's plea to excuse Mai over family suffering, and the moment the rookie from Tokyo pulls ahead, Mai steps in to take her down, which finally draws Maki in to avenge her protege.
Momo argues that Mai's behavior should be forgiven purely on the grounds of how her family treated her, and Nobara rejects the notion outright. Right as the Tokyo first-year tilts the momentum her way, Mai intervenes to knock her out. Soon after, Maki turns up to settle the score for her protege.
Knocked back time and again by the wind off Momo's broom, Nobara keeps getting back up, her toughness honed through training with Panda. Momo, uneasy that Toge might surface anywhere at any moment, shifts to how even flawlessness never satisfied the Zenin family in Mai's case. She drives home that, in the jujutsu world, a person without sorcery is deemed unworthy of living, a bias both sisters carried their entire lives, and she claims that nobody who treats a being like Yuji as a friend rather than a curse could ever relate. Nobara hits back that bad luck grants no license to be cruel, just as good luck is no excuse to mock someone; she dislikes Mai but respects Maki, and she insists a life is not merely a job.
Nobara fires off Straw Doll Technique: Hairpin, making her lodged nails burst with cursed energy and splintering the trees they had struck, which is precisely why she kept shooting despite seeming to miss. Momo evades the flying debris, but the move hands Nobara her opening. After a kick sends her back, Nobara grabs a bristle off the broom and unleashes Straw Doll Technique: Resonance, ripping the broom out of Momo's control and hauling her into reach. A squeaky hammer batters Momo's face, but just shy of victory Nobara takes a rubber bullet to the temple from Mai. Mai rings Momo to confirm Mechamaru is probably out of the running and tells her to return to the air.
As Mai readies to regroup, Maki appears, having left Kasumi behind. Maki remarks that Mai should have summoned Momo for support, but Mai insists on fighting one-on-one, and the elder sister politely tells the younger to address her as big sis. Set at Tokyo Jujutsu High within the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc, this chapter concludes Nobara Kugisaki vs. Momo Nishimiya and adapts into Episode 17.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
