Megumi's shadow shikigami collide with Noritoshi's blood sorcery. As Principal Gakuganji sets a scheme against Yuji in motion, a far more sinister group slips into the event to launch a plot of their own.
Megumi's Ten Shadows Technique meets Noritoshi's Blood Manipulation in a fierce duel. While the bout escalates, Principal Gakuganji puts his own plan against Yuji into action. Unwelcome outsiders, however, arrive with a wicked agenda all their own.
Noritoshi looses three arrows at once; Megumi knocks two aside with his tonfa and a toad halts the third. He spots blood on the arrows, which lets Noritoshi bend their flight beyond normal physics. Noritoshi urges him to summon another shikigami, but Megumi keeps Divine Dog occupied and warns he will not help if Noritoshi bleeds himself out, drawing a smirk and the admission these arrows were prepared in advance. Megumi recognizes the Kamo Clan's inherited Blood Manipulation, which governs anything the blood touches, while Noritoshi respects Megumi for carrying the Zenin family's Ten Shadows Technique, a gift he wishes Mai and Maki had received.
Noritoshi blasts the roof for cover, blitzes past Megumi, and keeps pressing until he snaps one of Megumi's tonfa. He explains that Flowing Red Scale lets him manipulate his temperature, pulse, red blood cell count, and blood makeup, and bristles when Megumi likens it to doping. Meanwhile, Kasumi, sidelined after Maki took her katana, gets a call she thinks is from Mechamaru, but it is Toge, who orders her to sleep. Toge, accompanied by Megumi's recalled Divine Dog, then senses a powerful cursed spirit nearby. A flashback confirms Gakuganji authorized Noritoshi to deploy a semi-grade 1 curse against Yuji, marked by a special blood scent, intending it to kill him after the Aoi fight.
This Volume 5 chapter, part of the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc, was adapted into Episode 18 and introduces Juzo Kumiya. The semi-grade 1 spirit reaches Toge, only to be beheaded instantly by something else, and Hanami emerges from the trees to face him. Far off, Mahito and the curse user Juzo Kumiya ready their own scheme. The chapter opens the duel between Megumi and Noritoshi.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
