The 44th chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen. Noritoshi insists he and Megumi are alike as sons of the sorcerer families, but Megumi rejects that worldview and vows to save Yuji on his own terms, until a hidden foe interrupts.
Forced into the role of Kamo Clan heir to keep his mother safe, Noritoshi believes Megumi is cut from the same cloth. Megumi denies any such kinship and turns his back on everything the sorcerer families uphold, determined to rescue Yuji whatever it takes. Their convictions and their techniques collide until an unforeseen enemy appears.
A flashback lays out Noritoshi's cruel father, whose lawful wife never bore a son carrying Blood Manipulation. The clan needed a successor, so a son fit to inherit was conceived through a woman the father kept as a mistress, and that child was Noritoshi. To shield her, he commits to playing the part of the legitimate heir. Back in the duel, the two trade close-range strikes until Noritoshi's boosted strength splinters Megumi's second tonfa. Pleased by Megumi's growth, Noritoshi talks as though the two are family, but Megumi cannot understand the familiarity and states he shares no bond with the Zenins. Noritoshi openly admits that, by his own choice, he intends to end Yuji's life, and he expects agreement since he believes they are the same. Megumi refuses, declaring he obeys his conscience alone, and if Noritoshi will not relent, then the two should simply curse each other.
A toad pops up behind Noritoshi as a feint, granting Megumi the instant he needs to pour heavy cursed energy into calling a freshly registered shikigami, Max Elephant. Before Noritoshi can move first, a flood from the elephant's trunk blasts him clear of the temple, and Megumi sends Nue down on him in the air. Recalling his mother's plight, Noritoshi will not fold, hurling a pack of blood toward Nue and pinning it with Blood Manipulation: Crimson Binding. Both land below and charge once more, neither willing to give in.
A sudden wall of wooden branches breaks up the fight. Megumi spots Toge slipping between the limbs, and his upperclassman shouts at both boys to flee using cursed speech, scattering them clear of the wooden spikes. Just off the battlefield, Juzo plants a talisman and raises a curtain over the grounds, giddily anticipating the chance to build a hanger rack. Set at Tokyo Jujutsu High within the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc, this chapter concludes Megumi Fushiguro vs. Noritoshi Kamo and adapts into Episode 18.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
