Summary

No sooner has Eraser Head told Koichi to reach the hospital and pass the information to Detective Naomasa than more Anonymous arrive, driving Koichi up a nearby wall for safety. He asks whether the hero can manage alone. The answer is that a genuine hero needs nothing from an amateur, and that Koichi already knows this is not where he belongs.

Koichi slides up the wall and launches himself out over the rooftops toward the hospital. Left behind, Eraser Head grumbles that holding some kid's hand seems to be inescapable, then turns to meet the villains.

A second airborne jump keeps him steady. Koichi knows perfectly well that two in a row is his ceiling and that pushing beyond it drops him out of the sky. Every thought he has is fixed on Kazuho as he tears toward her, and he strings together jump after jump without counting.

An explosion tears open the hospital's front gate as he closes in. Soga signals him from a nearby rooftop, telling him the enemy has finally moved and that it is do or die from here. Below, officers fire on the advancing Anonymous, whose Self-Detonation Quirks drive them back while Rapt shouts for a retreat. When one officer goes down, Rapt and Moyuru dash in to pull him clear, wondering aloud what anyone can do against creatures like that. Number 6 and his soldiers emerge from the smoke and head for the entrance, and Rapt puts his hope in Soga and Koichi.
