Summary
Ending shouts that a hero will never kill, no matter the circumstances, then throws Hood back at Endeavor as proof otherwise. Given the life he has led, he says, he is no different from that Nomu, so there is no puppet worth worrying about here. He tells Endeavor to hold nothing back, and buries the car holding Izuku, Katsuki and Shoto under the road lines.
The three blast free while the chauffeur throws their hero gear after them. Ending flinches at the sight of the interns, which leaves him off balance and open, but as Endeavor moves in he sees Natsuo held out in front of the villain and slows rather than risk him. That hesitation hands the opening to the students.
Ending laments that his flame of hope is still playing hero with a son's life on the line. Shoto squeezes his fire down to a single point, shreds the lines sent at him, and demands his brother back. Ending answers by seizing the markings along the whole highway, promising a pile of corpses since Endeavor took too long about killing him: cars go into the air and Natsuo is dropped straight into the path of one. Katsuki compresses and releases his own Quirk at a point, closes at full speed, and pulls Natsuo clear while declaring there will be no bodies if he has anything to say about it.
Watching the traffic hang in the air, Izuku goes up with Delaware Smash Air Force, remembers Endeavor's advice about acting without thinking it through, and gets Blackwhip out, catching every car. He yells that none of Ending's wishes are coming true, and the internship pays off in front of everyone. A stunned Ending eats a flaming punch from Shoto and goes down.
Endeavor grabs Natsuo in relief, hauling in an irritated Katsuki with him, and reflects that seven days were enough for the three to turn his lessons into something real, and that their growth just saved a life.
