Summary

Amado is stunned to find Ada alive, and her taunts leave him so shaken that Shikamaru grows uneasy about what she truly is. Because Ada stands with Code, Delta moves to attack her but freezes, then meekly obeys Ada's order to release Code. Unable to explain her own behaviour, Delta leaves Shikamaru to call Ino for support.

Elsewhere, Sasuke apologises to Boruto for breaking his promise while Momoshiki controlled him, the event that forced Kawaki to strike him down. Few know Kawaki was responsible, a mercy given how many already resent the boy. Boruto insists Kawaki deserves no blame, since only a brother could have done what was asked. Grateful that Sasuke's forehead protector firmed his resolve, Boruto tries to return it, but Sasuke lets him keep it. Watching nearby, Sarada and Mitsuki grapple with how close Boruto came to dying, and Sarada brushes off Mitsuki's question about her feelings, saying only that they must all grow stronger against the Ōtsutsuki.

Kawaki wakes beside Sumire and Naruto, who reassures him that the Kāma kept Boruto alive and that Konoha remains his home. When Ino's telepathy warns of Code and Ada's invasion, Sasuke and Boruto race off while Naruto covers his own exit, and Kawaki quietly summons Isshiki's eye.

At the standoff, Shikamaru pins Ada with his shadow, and she marvels that it works only because the technique causes no harm. Learning from Amado that Ada enchants everyone who sees her, cannot switch it off, and can be undone only by her death, Shikamaru strains to hold his jutsu before the pressure forces him to yield. As Code tortures Amado, Shikamaru discovers that Ada aids Code purely out of affection for Kawaki. He secretly has Ino seal the room and stall reinforcements, then offers Ada a deal: defect to Konoha and pursue Kawaki freely, a proposal that horrifies Code.
