Summary

The Yin half of Kurama presses Minato on whether he always meant for his son to shoulder this burden, and whether that was why he sealed the beast's Yang half away inside the boy. The fox then tells Minato he bears no blame for Kushina's death, and that Naruto's life as a host was never something to regret. On the battlefield, Naruto and Tobirama link back up with the others, and as Naruto notes that nature energy proved effective against Obito, Tobirama privately reflects that the boy's blend of teleportation and senjutsu recalls his own brother.

Obito, mending from his wounds, warns himself that a beast's host still cannot fight carelessly, then coolly resumes the Eye of the Moon Plan. He raises a colossal tree crowned with four blossoms and forms four Tailed Beast Balls, aiming to wipe out what remains of the Allied Shinobi Forces at once. Tobirama warns that even teleporting the blasts away would only remove two, halving the danger. Hashirama again begs Madara to postpone their duel, but Madara, unbothered as a reincarnated being, dares his old rival to stop him instead.

A surviving wood clone of Hashirama rallies the alliance and outlines a strategy, yet Obito uses chakra receivers to raise a barrier meant to trap everyone with the attack. Naruto offers a plan he is not certain will work and asks Minato to bump fists, merging Kurama's two halves. The Yang portion requests chakra from its Yin counterpart, which finds begging itself absurd. When Obito taunts that the anniversary of his parents' deaths is near, Naruto counters that it also means his own birthday follows, and that the world will not end while he still stands. Cloaking himself in Tailed Beast Mode, he answers his father, who marvels to Kushina at how their son has grown.
