Legacy is the fifty-fifth chapter of Boruto, closing the war with Isshiki on a bittersweet note. Naruto shares parting words with Kurama and wakes to a changed world, while the fallen villain's spirit passes his ambition to a new successor.
Naruto surfaces within his own mind to find Kurama waiting, warning that this may be the last talk they ever share. Looking back on all they endured together, the fox admits it is satisfied to have brought Isshiki low. When Naruto worries over the village and the two boys, Kurama tells him he must shoulder that burden alone from here. It then confesses a secret it kept: drawing out a tailed beast normally kills its host, yet Naruto will survive, because Baryon Mode demanded the fox's life rather than his own. It never technically lied, it argues, since Naruto would surely have balked at the technique had he grasped its true cost. Fading away, Kurama warns him not to strain himself now that its strength is gone. Naruto then wakes among Boruto, Sasuke and Kawaki, and lays the situation out for Sasuke.
With his Rinnegan burned out, Sasuke leaves it to Boruto to tear open a way home, which the boy manages after a rocky first try. Elsewhere, Code checks on the penned Ten-Tails and his own White Kāma, and the seal flares to life, conjuring Isshiki's spirit. Naming Code his most devoted follower yet unable to take him as a vessel, the dead Ōtsutsuki hands down his hunger instead: keep the ancient ritual going, drain worlds of their life, and above all raise a God Tree, which meant feeding the imprisoned Ten-Tails either Kawaki or Boruto, then swallowing the chakra fruit to rise as a fresh Ōtsutsuki. Code eagerly accepts and vows to wipe out the ones who felled his master.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
Back at the hideout, Shikamaru learns the team has made it home and Isshiki is no more, while Amado sinks into thought and Sumire clocks his unease over Kawaki. Kawaki, who has promised to help Boruto be free of his own Kāma, presses him to sharpen his teleporting, and Boruto replies that nothing feels out of reach so long as Kawaki stands beside him. The installment ran in V Jump as part of volume 14's Kawaki arc.
