Naruto's Furrow

A Kurama wrapped in Susanoo slices clean through Obito, and the plan Naruto and the fox set in motion pays off: because Naruto wields the sliver of chakra the beast entrusted to him, the energy of the other tailed beasts begins tearing free. Channeling that power out through Kurama's tails, Naruto locks into a massive struggle against Obito, who fights with everything he has to hold on to the beasts' chakra.

The tails meant for Shukaku and Gyūki refuse to take hold, since Naruto carries none of their chakra himself, so Gaara, who once housed Shukaku, and Killer B, Gyūki's present host, throw their weight into the effort. Their goal is to strip Obito down to nothing more than the empty husk of the Ten-Tails and keep the tree's bloom from opening. Grasping the plan, the Allied Shinobi Forces move on Shikamaru's command, even as the chakra link exposes Naruto to more of Obito's mind, a danger Kurama cautions him about. Sasuke and the rest of Naruto's Konoha comrades seize the chakra and pull as well, while Minato once again wraps himself in his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode cloak, sprouting tendril-like tails and urging the Alliance to grab onto his chakra to add their strength.

Deep in his own mind, Obito sees himself standing alone against the whole Alliance. Turning over each of his choices and imagining the life he might have led, he wrestles with a growing sense of regret. Speaking straight through their connection, a sympathetic Naruto insists that even though Obito claims to be no one, he was truly a person with dreams much like Naruto's own and with ties of both friendship and family. Naruto names him Obito Uchiha and vows to shatter the true mask he wears: the pretense of being nobody.
