Personality

Devotion to both family and crew defines him. He fell in line with the scheme to murder the Vinsmokes, and once it began to unravel he voiced worry to those around him over whether it could still work. That resolve runs deep enough that he stayed awake through a blast of Linlin's Supreme King Haki and her ear-splitting scream.

Abilities

Officer rank within the crew grants Basans command over its lower members. Physically he sits above the ordinary, briefly trading blows with Vinsmoke Yonji even while that opponent had donned his Raid Suit, and for the assassination job he and other crewmates were issued Walkers as weapons. At the tea party and wedding for Pudding and Sanji, he conferred anxiously with his fellows after Sanji slipped the gunfire, then helped pin the trapped Vinsmokes at gunpoint until Linlin's cry knocked the pirates senseless and freed their captives. Once Katakuri handed out earplugs, Basans joined the assault on Capone Bege, fired at the escaping pirate, and clashed again with Yonji. When the Tamatebako tipped the chateau over, he plunged with the rest of the crew, only for Streusen to soften part of the structure into cake and cushion the fall.
