Dragon Number Twenty-One

This dragon is a green western type flecked with darker green spots, dwarfed by Dragon Number Thirteen and only a touch larger than a horse. It carries wings, a long tail, and stubby little legs, with a pair of white horns crowning its head and black spikes lining its spine and tail.

Brutish and aggressive, the beast lunges at any intruder it spots with the intent to eat them. It is clever enough to recognize when retreat is wise, and it lost interest in Brook once it realized the skeletal pirate offered no meat.

Brownbeard describes it as a refined successor to Vegapunk's bulkier earlier dragons, both quicker and sturdier. It flies, breathes potent fire, and bites through solid steel with ease, yet Kin'emon and Brook brought it down without much difficulty, and it was visibly frightened of Vergo. While under Caesar's command it was dosed with sedatives that grounded it, though it stayed swift enough to outrun the spreading Shinokuni gas even while carrying several Straw Hats.

Created more than four years ago after Dragon Number Thirteen proved a success, it was abandoned when Caesar detonated his chemical weapon, then began serving Caesar's group when they returned a year later. During the Punk Hazard Arc it ferried lab workers to plant candy for Smiley, then fled once Shinokuni formed, only to be caught by Sanji and forced to carry the group back to the lab. After its sedatives wore off it attacked the G-5 Marines, was scared into Section B by Vergo, and set upon the Straw Hats and Brownbeard. Following a barrage from Nami, Usopp, and Robin, Kin'emon sliced through its fire breath before he and Brook felled it with simultaneous strikes. Its fate after Shinokuni reached the lab is unknown.
