Kebi

Kebi has tanned skin and black hair gathered into a ponytail held by a grey tie. He dresses in a navy sleeveless shirt beneath a dark red hat, and a pair of brown goggles rests on the brim, ready when he needs them.

Kebi was ready to stake his life on a cause he believed in, taking up arms against the royal guards because he wanted only what was best for his country. His loyalty was matched by genuine warmth: he rushed to the aid of both Koza and the boy Kappa when they were hurt, and he repeatedly voiced worry over Koza's wounds, backing his friend as the conflict wore on.

As a boy Kebi befriended Koza and joined the Sand-Sand Clan, watching the famous scrap between Koza and Vivi that ended with Koza naming their new friend second-in-command. The children tried to shield Vivi from Agotogi's bandits, and though they were overpowered, Kebi alerted Cobra and Igaram that the thugs were armed and headed for the ruins. He shared in the group's antics, helping claim the Alubarna clock tower as their secret fort.

Years later he enlisted in the Rebel Army under Koza. When the disguised impostor posing as King Cobra shot Koza, Kebi and Erik took on leadership and came to his aid. He hurried to the wounded Kappa but could not grasp the boy's warning about the impostors, holding him as he collapsed. Kebi helped lead the charge on Alubarna and clashed with the Royal Guards on the steps to the capital despite Vivi's pleas to stop. As the battle raged, rain finally fell over the desert and Vivi's cries halted the fighting. When Koza confirmed the impostor plot, Kebi crouched beside him in support, and King Cobra urged the repentant rebels to keep living rather than dwell on the past.
