Gion

Gion is tall and slender, with red lipstick, long curly black hair worn tied back, and a mole below her mouth on the right. A black spider tattoo marks her left thigh. She drapes her Marine coat over her shoulders like a cape, its hood usually kept down, the sleeve cuffs and epaulettes colored pink. Beneath it she wears a pink top with short sleeves, a frilled collar, and an open neckline, along with dark brown shorts and black heels.

Outspoken and quick-tempered, Gion does not shrink from confrontation, even challenging a legend like Garp. She holds to her own sense of justice and was clearly bothered that Garp showed no worry about two Emperors hunting his grandson, pirate of the Worst Generation though Luffy is. She uses charming hospitality to bait all sorts of pirates into trouble, and laughs in her own signature way, 'Usafufu.'

Gion entered the running for the open admiral seats during the timeskip, but the posts went to Issho and Aramaki instead. Her fellow vice admiral Tokikake asked her out a hundred times, and she turned him down on every occasion. As a vice admiral she can help direct a Buster Call beside four others and commands every rank beneath her; her swordsmanship is strong enough to have made her an admiral contender, and in One Piece Film: Gold she carries the famed blade Konpira. After the Marines intercepted a call between Big Mom and Kaidou, she stood at the Red Port berating Garp for his indifference toward the threat against Luffy. In the non-canon Film: Gold she shared the casino VIP lounge with Hina, and in Stampede she attended a Marine Headquarters briefing on Douglas Bullet.
