Inuppe

Inuppe was a grotesque hybrid, a penguin whose head had been swapped out for the face of a bulldog, complete with dog ears and a left eye stitched closed. A round checkered hat topped him off, a bow tie sat at his chest, and his small flippers and tiny penguin feet were offset by bandages wound around his lower body. Usopp coined his name by blending the dog and penguin halves of his design.

Because Sanji's shadow gave him life, Inuppe inherited the cook's absolute refusal to harm a woman. He struck down Hippo Gentleman for menacing Nami and dared the other zombies to challenge him over it, and he would not raise a hand against a female zombie either, holding back even when Lola hurled him into a wall. Though he could not explain why he protected a target he was meant to capture, he went so far as to block Absalom's pursuit of her, all while proclaiming love as a force that makes the impossible possible.

That nobility did not survive his contract with Gecko Moria. Like every zombie bound by the past-erasure pact, Inuppe eventually shed Sanji's memories and feelings, turning into an obedient servant who would attack Nico Robin, something the real Sanji never would, and leap from a tower the instant he was ordered to.

Moria's crew never linked Sanji to his poorly drawn wanted poster, so his shadow was placed in a body too weak to channel his full power. Even so, his fellow Wild Zombies reckoned him a match for a General Zombie in strength, since he had dropped Hippo Gentleman with one kick that shattered the man's sword. He felt no pain, recovered quickly from heavy blows, and could snap a large axe or trade strikes with Jigoro's blade using kicks alone. Fighting strictly with his legs in Sanji's manner, he never drew on the formal Black Leg Style techniques.

After the Spider Mice captured Sanji, his shadow was poured into Inuppe's corpse. Once Perona had mustered the Wild Zombies for the assault, Inuppe, fighting as part of the Penguin Trio, came up against Nami, Usopp, and Chopper, then turned on his own side the moment Hippo Gentleman lunged at Nami, kicking him away and defying the zombies who demanded an explanation. When Lola swung an axe at Nami, Inuppe broke the weapon and was thrown aside without retaliating, and his stand against Absalom ended when the bounty hunter blasted him into unconsciousness with a bazooka.

With Absalom busy at his wedding, Hogback requested two guards and was handed Inuppe and Jigoro, who soon cornered Chopper and Robin. The pair subdued both, but when a stray swing from Jigoro nearly clipped Inuppe, the buried rivalry between Zoro's and Sanji's shadows flared to life, and the two began brawling instead. Robin then fooled Hogback into commanding the duo to leap, sending both crashing through a wall to the ground below. After the Straw Hats brought down Oars, Moria reclaimed Sanji's shadow from Inuppe to bolster himself, leaving behind a lifeless corpse once more.
