Sewn together from warthog remains, her undead frame carries pink skin and a broad, bony jaw lined with a pair of jutting tusks. A faint scar bridges her two nostrils, red paint colors her lips, and she is dressed as a bride in a gown trimmed with golden metal shoulder plating and corset pieces.

Personality

The shadow powering her once belonged to a pirate notorious for proposing to countless men, and that drive narrowed onto a single target: her commander Absalom, whom she addressed as Ab-sama. Where the living Charlotte Lola proposes freely and shrugs off refusal, this zombie obsessed over one man and resorted to scheming, trying to make Absalom sign a wedding form unaware and threatening to kill any rival bride. She struck at anyone who blocked her path, from fellow zombie Inuppe to the Straw Hats Usopp and Chopper. Cunning rather than dim, she instantly recognized that Nami was only pretending to be male, and during the staged ceremony she faked an assault on the navigator to cover an escape. She also proved able to build a sincere, lasting friendship with anyone who championed her romantic hopes.

History

Three years ahead of the Straw Hats' arrival, Moria drew Charlotte Lola and her crew to his vessel and stripped their shadows; Hogback then planted one inside a patched warthog body to form the wild zombie Lola, assigned beneath Absalom. When Absalom roused the General Zombies against the intruders, Lola surfaced and demanded marriage, attempting her Chikai no Kiss and a forged registration. Learning that Absalom meant to wed Nami, she vowed to slay the rival, cornering her in Perona's garden with a giant axe before Inuppe snapped it and earned a wall-cratering blow. After throwing off Usopp and Chopper, she caught up again, but when Nami insisted she was really a man called Namizo and voiced support for the match, the hostility melted into friendship; Lola revealed where the treasure room sat and credited the navigator with renewed courage. At the wedding she feigned fury, struck Nami to mask a getaway, took a bazooka blast yet rose with only scratches, then pounced to kiss the unconscious Absalom. Once Oars fell to the Straw Hats, she admired them before Moria tore her shadow free, leaving a corpse. After Luffy beat Moria the shadow returned to Charlotte Lola, who startled Nami by greeting her as Namizo. In combat Lola wielded a heavy axe and twin katanas that sliced through stone, hurled Usopp and Chopper aside with a flick of her head, and practiced a non-combat martial art she called Hanayome Bujutsu.
