Poppoko

Heavyset with a prominent chin, Poppoko has black hair and a touch of stubble below his mouth. His sideburns curl at the ends. He sports a black-and-white striped bandana paired with a short-sleeved shirt in the same pattern.

Matching his rough look, Poppoko enjoys pushing around the meek, low-ranking Koby. Alvida herself terrifies him; caught loafing once, he scrambled to deny it, since she despises slackers. Like the rest of the crew, he flatters her as beautiful purely to keep clear of her iron mace.

Poppoko proved no fighter, getting knocked senseless without meaning to when Luffy burst from the barrel. He and his brothers, along with Koby, had been about to drink from that barrel thinking it held wine. After bullying Koby and failing to attack Luffy, they were cut off by Alvida and later reported the intruder to her. They watched, stunned, as Luffy insulted their captain, shrugged off her blow, and beat her, then handed over a boat at his demand. In an anime-only continuation, he resurfaced among Gally's recruits, raiding Loguetown's harbor until Captain Smoker shut the effort down.
