A crushing blow from Kaidou's club drops Luffy, who deflates out of Gear Fourth and falls limp. Furious at having won through an unfair edge, Kaidou turns his anger on Guernika for interfering and strikes the agent down, the man accepting the punishment without protest. Reverting to his dragon, the Emperor returns to the Live Floor to proclaim victory.

Kaidou demands the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance lay down their arms unconditionally. He announces the New Onigashima Project will continue, relocating the island over the Flower Capital and forcing Wano's people into bondage.

Devastated by reports of Luffy's death, the allied fighters refuse to yield and keep battling the Beasts Pirates. Momonosuke, shaken when Luffy's voice goes quiet, likewise resolves not to quit, steering the island ever farther from the capital. Then, on the rooftop, Luffy's still body suddenly regains a heartbeat and starts undergoing a mysterious change.

Zunesha compares the renewed pulse to the Drums of Liberation, a signal of Joy Boy's awakening.

This Wano Country Arc entry adds scenes inside Onigashima as Luffy reverts, a Kaidou flashback of Luffy readying his last attack, the Emperor outlining his slavery plans, and more alliance fighting. From this episode onward, English-subtitled previews of the following episode, complete with the international logo and translated title, began appearing on the official YouTube channel alongside the Japanese version.
