Trouble Occurs! Seek Dr. Vegapunk!

Back on his feet, Sentomaru sends the Pacifista MK-III against the World Government agents. Bonney sets out to explore her father's recollections. Shaka briefs the others on the state of things, including the fact that Vegapunk has gone missing. Luffy and Zoro stay behind to keep watch over Lucci and Kaku, while everyone else heads off in search of the doctor.

Having taken full hold of the Fabiriophase, the Government agents move to wreck the Vacuum Rockets and box Vegapunk into the Labophase. Powerful beams of light cut them down instead, and they recognize the source as the Pacifista MK-III, an upgrade on the units fielded during the Summit War. Sentomaru, roused from his injuries, has loosed all fifty of them. Bonney, meanwhile, boots Vegapunk from the room using the enormous paw and, brushing aside his warning, reaches into it to enter Kuma's past, where she finds a young Kuma weeping in a field. Up in the control room, Luffy abandons his fruitless hunt as his DOM boots lose the ability to fly. Edison and Lilith report that Atlas has been mended, but Shaka admits he has lost the Frontier Dome completely and cannot pinpoint Vegapunk now that the surveillance is wrecked. As Pythagoras keeps looking, the crew throws in with the search.

Far overseas, in the pages of his World Economy News Paper, Morgans intends to run the story of the Egghead Incident, aiming to lay Vegapunk's attempted assassination at Luffy's feet. Vivi, who dodged capture and is sheltering aboard Morgans' airship with Wapol, scolds him for inventing the headlines. The anime lengthens the Labophase gathering with more reactions to Atlas's recovery and the splitting into search teams. The episode belongs to the Egghead Arc and introduces Iyan'eno Chinode.
