Cannon Fire Is the Signal! CP9 Goes Into Action!

Shipwrights ring every entrance to the Galley-La building, bracing for the Straw Hats. Watching from outside, Chopper, Zoro, Nami, and Luffy agree not to charge in recklessly, certain that tonight is their one chance to learn the truth about Robin. Inside, Iceburg asks Kalifa to send Paulie to him alone. Suspicious of the timing, the others step away to give them privacy, and Iceburg quietly instructs Paulie to move his desk, open the safe beneath it, and retrieve what is hidden there.

Beyond the walls, Robin and the bear-masked CP9 agent receive word that a signal is coming. A massive explosion erupts, jolting shipwrights and Straw Hats alike, and the two intruders vault into the courtyard as carpenters scramble to find them.

A masked agent overhead uses Geppo to walk the air and cuts down guards with a thorn attack. Cornered, Robin and her partner vanish behind his cape. Two more agents ambush Paulie at the safe, demanding the document and revealing they slaughtered many shipwrights, so the plot was never a mere assassination. The bear-masked agent carves a door straight into Iceburg's room with the Door Door Fruit, shoots the mayor in the shoulder as a warning, and confirms Luffy had no part in it. Their real target is the blueprints of a ship that Iceburg would entrust to Paulie. Realizing the trap, Iceburg grasps that Paulie is in danger, while Luffy is left stuck between two buildings, straining to reach Robin.

This installment debuts the Doa Doa no Mi along with Kalifa's first use of Six Powers and Geppo, her Ibara Road, and Blueno's Door Door technique. It belongs to the Water 7 Arc.
