Even More Chaos! Here Comes Blackbeard Teech!

On the fourth floor the brawl carries on as Luffy and his allies press their attack, while two floors above, Buggy and Mr. 3 fling open the cages to spark a riot that hides their flight. At the front gate Blackbeard barges in, mauling guards to force a path. Buried under a flood of crises as he scrambles toward the fourth floor, Hannyabal is steadied only when Magellan reports the second-floor uprising suppressed and announces that Shiryu will be freed against Blackbeard. Loosed and handed his sword, Shiryu instantly cuts down every guard who let him out.

Once certain no guards remain, Buggy and Galdino unlock cell after cell on the second floor to brew the diversion they need. Up on the fourth floor, Newkama citizens flood the staircase as the escapees pitch guards into the lake of fire and push toward the third floor; among that band are Jinbe, Crocodile, Inazuma, Daz Bonez, Bon Kurei, Ivankov, and Luffy himself. In a jailer room Hannyabal panics as his shot at the Chief Warden post slips away. Taken by Onigumo, Ace gets one last glimpse of the sky. At the entrance the Blackbeard Pirates use the Yami Yami no Mi to swallow guards and gates and breach the Great Prison. Magellan poisons many of the second-floor rioters and decides to unleash Shiryu on Blackbeard while he personally moves to crush the fourth-floor escapees.

Drawing from pages thirteen to nineteen of Chapter 541 and pages two to eleven of Chapter 542, this Impel Down Arc entry debuts Laffitte's Devil Fruit along with Ivankov's Emporio Ganmen Seicho Hormone and Hell Wink. Buggy and Galdino joke about being the comic relief, a wink that hints at their awareness of being characters within an anime, and after Blackbeard's assault the Impel Down banner briefly appears recolored with a red center.
