Sweets Lover! Emperor Big Mom

Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji track down the beaten Caribou and reclaim the stolen treasure, hauling away three heavy bags. Passing the candy factory, they stumble onto a crowd surrounding Pekoms and Tamago. Luffy loudly thanks everyone for the delicious sweets, oblivious that he has just admitted to devouring the tribute owed to one of the Four Emperors.

Tamago lays out the arrangement: Fish-Man Island ships Big Mom ten tons of candy each month in exchange for her protective flag, and any failure dissolves the treaty and dooms the island. With the candy factory wrecked by Hody and weeks needed to rebuild, the merfolk have nothing to give. Far away on Whole Cake Island, Big Mom devours one of her own crew and learns from Bobbin that the payment will not arrive, prompting her to call the island directly.

When the Den Den Mushi rings, a fearful Luffy answers. He introduces himself, names himself the future Pirate King, and confesses to eating all the candy while offering his treasure as repayment. Big Mom shifts her wrath onto him, and Luffy fires back that he will defeat her and take Fish-Man Island for his own.

The trio recovers the treasure from Caribou. Tamago explains Fish-Man Island's candy treaty with Big Mom. Charlotte Linlin debuts, eating a crewmate and learning the tribute will be late. Luffy answers her call, takes sole blame for the missing candy, and offers treasure instead. Big Mom redirects her threat from the island to Luffy, who declares he will beat her and claim Fish-Man Island.

The episode debuts Charlotte Linlin, Pudding, Nitro, Bobbin, and Napoleon, plus the locations Totto Land, Whole Cake Island, and Whole Cake Chateau, and the Soru Soru no Mi. The anime shows Big Mom only after Sanji speaks with Tamago rather than before, extends the ringing Den Den Mushi scene, and gives Big Mom the closing line calling Luffy an insolent brat.
