It's Time to Say Goodbye - Leaving Punk Hazard!

A flashback returns to Law cautioning Luffy that the Four Emperors are not to be taken lightly, recalling that they once vied with Whitebeard over territory. By Law's reckoning, their scheme gives them only a slim chance of toppling Kaidou. In the present, the crew and the children enjoy their last moments together before the parting. As the Straw Hats prepare to sail, the G-5 soldiers hurl insults and raise a barricade so the weeping children cannot watch them leave. Tashigi orders her men to stop, but they confess they badmouth the pirates because otherwise they would grow to love them, and soon the Marines are crying too.

Law boards the Thousand Sunny alongside the crew, and Zoro questions why he is tagging along, with Usopp blaming Luffy for dragging them into deeper trouble. Far over the ocean, Doflamingo reaches a drifting life raft launched from his tanker and finds the severed heads of Baby 5 and Buffalo mounted on it, apparently cut off by Law, beside a Den Den Mushi shaped like the surgeon. The snail crackles to life with Law's voice.

Law informs Doflamingo that he holds Caesar, and that with SMILE production halted, his business partner Kaidou will turn on him. The only escape, Law insists, is to resign from the Seven Warlords, with the announcement printed by the next morning or Caesar stays gone. He hangs up, leaving Doflamingo to curse him in a fury.

Drawn from Chapter 697, the episode softens Law's odds, having him simply call the chances very low rather than citing the manga's 30 percent. The send-off from the island is extended, as is Doflamingo's burst of rage, though here he never tries to ring Law back. Robin asking Franky about the Mini Merry is added, and Smoker's exchange with Law along with part of his alliance flashback are reanimated from the prior episode.
