A Tearful Reunion - Rebecca and Kyros!

Diamante overpowers Rebecca with brutal ease, his blows scattering her across the flower field. When she flees with Law's key rather than fight, he stretches his sword to slash her back and stands over her, drawing a pistol so he can end her the way he ended Scarlett. As she cries out Thunder Soldier's name, Kyros charges in and cuts Diamante down, then apologizes to Rebecca for ever making a gentle girl take up the blade.

Luffy and Law race up the staircase pursued by a nutcracker. Luffy stretches to snatch the key from Rebecca's hand just before the toy swallows both pirates, and Law then carves the doll apart with ROOM, freeing himself of the seastone cuffs. Kyros holds Diamante back so the two can advance, and Luffy and Law teleport into the palace, unaware Sugar is already hunting them.

Rebecca, knowing she cannot match a Donquixote executive, chooses to run and deliver the key rather than avenge Scarlett herself. Kyros reaches her in time, slashing Diamante across the gut and reuniting with the daughter he raised in toy form. Law removes his seastone restraints and uses Mes to extract the lead bullets Doflamingo shot into him. Luffy plants his straw hat back on, declares he is not Lucy but Straw Hat Luffy, the future Pirate King, and Law's Shambles swaps the duo with a barrel to escape Diamante's extended blade. Inside, a Donquixote pirate alerts Sugar by Den Den Mushi that the targets have entered.

The anime has Rebecca drop the key in the flowers and appear ready to fight before deciding to flee, and stages a Diamante versus Kyros exchange before Luffy and Law arrive. It also depicts the moment a nutcracker swallows the pair as Luffy grabs the key, and adds Law warning Luffy not to rush blindly at Doflamingo. The manga showed Diamante striking Rebecca only once, whereas the adaptation has him attack repeatedly and force her on the defensive. Rated 8.6.
