The Benefactor's Life - Sanji and Owner Zeff

Worn down by Cracker's bottomless supply of Biscuit Soldiers, Luffy tries Double Culverin and then a massive King Kong Gun that scatters the defensive line, but Gear 4 gives out a heartbeat before his fist can reach Cracker, blasting him backward with air hissing from his mouth. Grounded and unable to fight for ten minutes, he can only seethe as Cracker dispatches soldiers to track him down.

In the Germa Kingdom, Sanji's defiance collapses when Judge reveals that Big Mom has handed Germa 66 the exact location of the Baratie, meaning a single command could level the restaurant and kill Zeff. The exploding handcuffs and a photograph of the chef, both supplied by Tamago, give Judge total leverage. Shaken, Sanji recalls everything Zeff did for him.

Sanji praises Cosette's cooking and eats the food Niji threw, then condemns his brother's cruelty toward food and women. Niji's retaliatory kick is halted by Judge but its wind still flings Cosette aside. Judge confirms that if Sanji steps out of line, Zeff dies, and that the family lunches with Big Mom and Pudding that day. The flashback shows young Sanji biting Zeff's leg during the Cook Pirates' attack on the Orbit, the two washing up on a barren rock, and Zeff secretly giving the boy nearly all the food. On day 70 a starving Sanji discovers Zeff's bag holds only treasure and that the chef sacrificed his own leg to free Sanji from a wreck, having eaten nothing. They later founded the Baratie together. Back in the present, a Biscuit Soldier finally corners the immobile Luffy.

The anime expands Luffy's Gear 4 rampage, letting him nearly land King Kong Gun before the form lapses, and adds Sanji helping Cosette back to her feet after Niji's kick. It also shows Luffy concealing himself to recover before a soldier uncovers him. Zeff appears only in flashback and a photograph, with Tamago likewise confined to flashback.
