Sora's Wish - Germa's Failure, Sanji

In the Chateau's sickroom, a doctor and a homie sentry marvel at how swiftly Reiju is mending. Sanji sneaks in unseen, binds the guard and covers his eyes, then waits for his sister to come around. Still groggy and clinging to the false notion that she was caught in some crossfire, Reiju listens as Sanji reveals her memory was overwritten by Pudding, then lays out what actually occurred.

Down in the Prisoner Library, Jinbe torches the volume caging the captive pair and lets them out. He admits his own Sun Pirates serve under Big Mom's fleet, which makes the unconscious Opera proof he has now broken ranks openly. Urging the two to find a hiding place, Jinbe is puzzled when Luffy gripes about hunger, but Luffy clarifies he never requested food and dashes off to warn Sanji.

Accepting Sanji's account because she had already grown wary of Pudding, Reiju cautions him not to obstruct the planned killings and insists he owes her nothing for his escape from Germa years earlier. She then shares a searing childhood memory: their mother, Sora, refused the procedure meant to drain her unborn sons of feeling, and unable to avoid it, secretly took a drug to soften its effect. The drug ruined her health while failing to spare Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji, yet it preserved Sanji's warmth, moving Sora to weep with joy. Reiju assures a shattered Sanji that their mother died with no regret and that he is gentler than anyone, never a failure.

Jinbe burns the prison book and releases Luffy and Nami, confirming his split from the Big Mom Pirates, and Luffy hurries off to warn Sanji about the marriage plot. Reiju recounts Sora's stand against Judge and the drug that guarded Sanji's humanity, then admits she swapped his explosive handcuffs for harmless ones so he can flee. Learning of Jinbe's betrayal, Smoothie seals the fourth floor and clears her soldiers to use lethal force on the rebels while withholding the news from Big Mom.

This installment falls within the Whole Cake Island Arc. The anime widens the flashbacks considerably, adding Reiju's grievance that Judge never let his children play, Sanji being beaten at Sora's grave, a sparring session between Judge and the young Sanji, and Reiju visiting the grave alone in the rain. The infirmary guard is tucked behind curtains here rather than simply left tied to a chair, and the moment of Jinbe burning the prison book runs longer.
