The Chateau in Turmoil! Luffy, to the Rendezvous!

The courtyard explosion leaves Count Niwatori shaken but largely unhurt, and he finds no sign of Pedro among the wreckage. The mink had in fact slipped into a mirror at the last instant, and now rides with Chopper, Carrot, and their captive Brulee aboard Diesel's cart, hunting for the rest of the team. Through the glass they learn that Nami is with Jinbe, both of them dodging a swarm of Big Mom Pirates one floor above.

Elsewhere, Luffy pushes deeper into the chateau and runs into Charlotte Cabaletta, who has come to settle the score for his beaten quintuplet Cadenza. The two trade blistering blows until Luffy lands a finishing strike, then he stumbles into the infirmary where Reiju shelters him. She tells him Sanji already knows Pudding meant to betray him, prompting Luffy to leap from a window and head for their promised rendezvous, only to be cornered by Chess Soldiers in Sweet City.

Pedro reveals he escaped his own dynamite by ducking into a mirror, and the Sanji Retrieval Team pinpoints Nami and Jinbe through the Mirro-World. Luffy mistakes Cabaletta for Cadenza before defeating him with Hawk Rifle despite his crippling hunger. Reiju hides Luffy and confirms Sanji has learned the truth about Pudding, though Sanji frets over Zeff and the Baratie being threatened. Luffy abandons the building to return to where he told Sanji to wait. In a quiet final beat, Sanji resolves to stay behind and never rejoin the crew.

The adaptation expands several beats not detailed in the source manga, including Niwatori climbing out of the blast, the on-screen moment Chopper yanks Pedro into the mirror, and the entire Cabaletta duel, which here grants the brother a proper introduction. Luffy's encounter with Chess Soldiers in Sweet City is anime-original, as is the lengthened chase of Nami and Jinbe. The episode skips Luffy's manga clash with Counter prior to reaching Reiju, omits the pirates calling for ministerial backup, and shows only two bystanders where the house is destroyed rather than a crowd. It belongs to the Whole Cake Island arc.
