The Mission Failed!? Big Mom Pirates Strike Back

Brook, still in disguise, shatters Carmel's portrait, and Big Mom notices at once. Rather than the wailing collapse Bege predicted, she tears off his mask, recognizes him, and erupts into a wild rampage against her own guests. Her crew turns on the Straw Hats in retaliation. Luffy and Jinbe hold off the lesser fighters but begin to buckle under the numbers, and Pedro finds his blade superheated and useless when Oven gets hold of it.

Sanji flees with Pudding, who rounds on him and opens fire; he dances clear of the bullets while trying to reach her with sympathy, only for Daifuku to knock her aside and conjure a genie from his belt to battle Sanji. In the Mirro-World, Caesar hauls Brulee about while quietly plotting his own escape, stewing over being treated as a loser. Perospero binds the entire Vinsmoke Family to chairs with candy and holds them at gunpoint; the brothers shrug off their own deaths while Reiju glares at the father who raised them without hearts. Realizing Big Mom is merely confused over what to rage about, Brook urges Luffy to show her the broken picture once more, and Luffy gathers the shards.

Brook destroys the Carmel portrait but Big Mom rampages rather than screaming. The Big Mom Pirates clash with the Straw Hats, with Oven disabling Pedro's sword. Pudding turns on Sanji and Daifuku's genie joins the fight. Perospero traps the Vinsmokes in candy at gunpoint. Brook deduces that Big Mom needs to see the wrecked portrait to trigger her scream, and Luffy moves to make that happen.

The adaptation adds Bege carrying his KX launcher as Big Mom sees the ruined picture, and names Mascarpone as the one who beheads the disguised Brook, an act left ambiguous in the source manga. Judge is shown demanding his family's weapons back before Perospero encases them, and Sanji is depicted fleeing with Pudding before she fires. Big Mom swings Prometheus at Jinbe and Luffy more often here, and the duel between Sanji and Daifuku's genie is lengthened, the genie shifting into smoke to evade blows while Sanji blocks and even lands a Diable Jambe kick that drops it hard. Oven is also shown moving on Jinbe before Pedro blocks him.
