Break Through - The Straw Hats' Mighty Sea Battle!

Hammered into a wall by Katakuri's Chikara Mochi, Luffy refuses to quit and keeps charging back in, absorbing punishment while he concentrates on raising the strength of his Haki. Far out at sea, Big Mom grows alarmingly gaunt and weak from her unending craving, dropping to her knees, so she calls Zeus and Prometheus back to her through a signal sent by Napoleon. Word reaches Perospero that the wedding cake has put out to sea, but his relief curdles when he learns the dessert sits aboard Bege's vessel. Aboard the Nostra Castello, Sanji refuses to let the cake be tampered with, while Carrot and Brook clear the Sunny's path before the Emperor herself lunges aboard the Straw Hats' ship.

On Bege's ship Sanji boots a barrel of poison overboard, telling Bege he will cook for anyone hungry and nothing more, then silences the captain's objections with a spoonful of cream so sweet it nearly kills Bege with joy. Carrot, locked in her Sulong form, races between enemy vessels ripping off their helms and crippling Daifuku's entire fleet, helped along when Daifuku's own genie wrecks his ships. Brook lulls the crews to sleep and snatches an exhausted Carrot from the genie's blade just in time, carrying her home for a hero's welcome where she reveals she can revert by covering her eyes. With the path cleared, the Sunny surges ahead, but Zeus and Prometheus rejoin Big Mom, who leaps onto Zeus, turns Napoleon into a sword, sets her hair ablaze, and tears open the deck as Jinbe warns the crew to ready themselves to abandon ship.

This installment marks the first time the opening's shot of Carrot entering Sulong appears without shadow over it. The adaptation expands several beats, including Luffy firing Gigant Bazooka into Gigant Rifle, Nami and Chopper guarding the Sunny while Jinbe dodges cannon fire, and Brook openly putting enemy crews to sleep onscreen. Carrot's assault on the fleet runs longer than the manga version, and Daifuku is shown poised to cut her down before Brook intervenes, a moment absent from the printed chapters. The order of Big Mom's actions also shifts, as she boards Zeus before commanding Napoleon to take sword form rather than the reverse.
