Finally He Returns - Sanji, the Man Who'll Stop the Emperor

Luffy lands a counter on Katakuri by reading his strike, proving his Observation Haki is sharpening, yet the Sweet Commander keeps the upper hand and exploits Luffy's mounting fatigue. Battered to the ground, Luffy is told the Big Mom Pirates already know of his planned reunion on Cacao Island and are waiting there, a warning he shrugs off. Meanwhile Big Mom, riding an enlarged Prometheus, overtakes the Sunny until the scent of the dessert pulls her toward Bege instead, finally letting Sanji slip back to his crewmates.

When a chef admits he forgot to crown the finished cake with frosting roses, Sanji uses Sky Walk to soar up and add them perfectly, delighting Pudding, Chiffon, and the kitchen staff before Bege voices his hope the Emperor will die from the cake's sweetness alone. Big Mom catches the Sunny again, overpowering Chopper's Monster Point with Napoleon and forcing Nami and Brook to fight Prometheus' flames until Jinbe declares the swollen sun homie too large to quench. Nami then spots the Nostra Castello, and the scent of the cake draws the Emperor away. Sanji departs with Pudding aboard Rabiyan after Chiffon urges her sister not to lose her source of happiness, and he reunites with his crew, asking after Carrot and Pedro while Brook covers for them with a lie. Perospero, meanwhile, frets that the split is a trap and that a poisoned cake could doom everyone.

The adaptation adds extra footage of Luffy attempting to anticipate Katakuri's movements, the chef's forgotten decoration that Sanji completes himself, and Chopper, Nami, and Brook holding off Big Mom before the reunion with Sanji. A tender parting between Chiffon and Pudding is inserted, along with Flampe readying her attack on Luffy. In the manga, Chopper was already wounded when Perospero noticed his Monster Point, a detail the anime orders differently.
