Finally, It's Over - The Climax of the Intense Fight against Katakuri

As the clock creeps toward one in the morning, Sanji and Pudding share quiet memories before he readies his departure. The Sunny nears Cacao Island while the Fire Tank Pirates run the cake toward Funwari Island with Big Mom in pursuit. Inside the Mirro-World, Luffy finally overcomes Katakuri, discovers that Brulee has slipped away, and is met by Pekoms, who brings her back captured and offers to help him flee in honor of Pedro.

When Luffy and Katakuri land their last strikes, Brulee frees herself and bolts to join Oven's group, hoping to trap Luffy. As Oven's army waits, Newshi muses that Luffy might actually have beaten Katakuri, drawing scorn from his siblings. Hidden nearby, Sanji bids Pudding farewell, recalling their strange path from arranged marriage to building the second cake together, and after her violent side rejects him he tells her he is still glad she was his fiancee, moving her to tears before she takes his cigarette and leans close. At 12:37 their attacks retract, Luffy collapses into a sinkhole as Snakeman fades, and Katakuri finally topples forward unconscious. Big Mom closes on the Nostra Castello and burns its sails while Bege refuses to abandon the cake. At 12:47 Luffy drags himself up, and Katakuri rises to ask if he will return to bring down Big Mom, accepting defeat once Luffy vows to become Pirate King. Luffy covers the fallen commander's mouth with his borrowed hat, then finds Brulee gone, only for Pekoms, disguised as Nazoms, to appear holding her and carry both toward the lone mirror to honor Pedro's sacrifice.

The adaptation adds Brulee untying herself to join Oven, extra flashbacks of Sanji and Pudding, Katakuri vowing he would never lose as he falls, Chiffon sighting Funwari Island, and Brook again asking to see Smoothie's panties. It assigns Newji the question about Katakuri losing and stages a mix-up where Oven and a decuplet wrongly hit Newsan and Newshi, who then both strike Newji, though the episode also confuses Newshi and Newsan. Luffy and Katakuri are shown with less facial blood than in the manga.
