Rage still consuming him, Orochi keeps the oiran trapped between his serpent jaws. The Oniwabanshu will not save her, busy instead chasing down an intruder, and they haul Nico Robin into the open before the guests, branding her the spy she truly is. Brook then appears to drive off most of the ninja, and Robin handles the rest with the arms sprouted by her Hana Hana no Mi. Looking on from the rafters, Nami and Shinobu are cornered by the ninja Hanzo. He tells how Shinobu, beautiful in her youth, used to draw her marks in with seduction before killing them, a habit that won her the name Man-Killer. She knocks Hanzo senseless, then rots the ceiling so that all three crash down into the feast.

Tumbling debris cracks against Orochi's skull, and the blow makes the shogun release Komurasaki. As he rises and looks for her, Kyoshiro steps in, unsheathes his blade, and lays a slash across her chest, an act that only stokes Orochi's fury further. Kyoshiro claims she broke the iron law by defying the shogun, yet he then finds a scrap of paper bearing the rebellion crest, hinting that she was bound to Kin'emon's alliance. When Orochi turns to grab Robin in order to capture Toko, Nami draws Zeus from her Clima-Tact, feeds the cloud some weather eggs, and Zeus strikes the shogun down with a fierce bolt of lightning. Come the following morning, word reaches the Udon officers that Eustass Kid has broken out.

Meanwhile, Chopper's group leads Big Mom into Okobore Town, where Tsuru serves her red bean soup. Tama devises a scheme to steer her toward Udon and harness her power to free Luffy from prison, telling her even more soup waits there; the trick lands and Big Mom prepares to set off. The adaptation adds Brook frightening still more Oniwabanshu, Hanzo catching Nami with a chain, and the women fleeing the castle by kite alongside Shinobu. In this telling, Kyoshiro finds Kin'emon's note lying on the floor, where the manga had him pull it from someone's grasp. The episode introduces Tsurue Monnosuke and Daifugo and debuts new techniques for both Shinobu and Nami.
