A New Alliance?! Kaidou's Army Gathers

Inside the concealed armory that Kawamatsu once stocked, Hiyori reminds Zoro that her homeland reveres Shusui as one of its holiest relics, a blade whose theft by Moria had once devastated the nation. Choosing to give it up, Zoro accepts Enma in trade, and the only thing he asks in return is leave to honor Ryuma at his resting place.

Within Rasetsu Prison, the duel between Law and Hawkins turns, and the Ope Ope no Mi leaves the captive split open. As he bleeds, Hawkins explains how his old arrangement with Kid and Scratchman Apoo unraveled, since Apoo had been loyal to Kaidou the entire time. Kid, who would not bow, was beaten and shipped off to slave in the Udon mine. His tale finished, Law lands a final cut and walks out unbothered.

Off in Udon, Luffy presses on with his conditioning, set on grasping Ryuo. The yakuza chiefs split into separate teams to ready the uprising, with Hyougoro preparing the arms, Cho carrying blades to the meeting ground, Yatappe heading the lead party, and Franky's people keeping the vessels seaworthy. Kin'emon explains that two added strokes on the rebellion flyer reshaped its serpent into a lizard, moving the muster away from Habu Port and over to Tokage Port in Udon. Seven of the Nine Red Scabbards have now been accounted for, leaving only Denjiro unfound.

Apoo enters Wano by way of the falls and a hidden passage, then rides a gondola toward Hakumai while the colossal Numbers follow at his heels, their monstrous shapes alarming every onlooker. He contacts Onigashima, where Kaidou has set aside his quarrel with Big Mom. Declaring it a stopgap arrangement, the Emperor binds his Beasts Pirates and Linlin's crew into one fighting force. Scenes original to the adaptation include the flashback of Kid and Killer squaring off with Kaidou, Chopper observing Luffy's regimen, and the responses of King and Queen to the pact. Hawkins's tarot deck and weapon lie scattered on the floor.
