Chinjao Family

Rooted in the Kano Country, the Chinjao Family answers to Don Chinjao, a patriarch whose grandsons Sai and Boo round out its core. Every member shares a family tie except Baby 5, who joined by marrying Sai. The clan is steeped in the Happo Navy and practices Hasshoken, a striking art that drives shattering vibrations through a target to crack armor and weapons, echoing the tremor power of Whitebeard's fruit. Baby 5 stands as the lone Devil Fruit user among them.

The family's public reason for sailing to Dressrosa was to compete for the Mera Mera no Mi, but their orders from the Kano Country's ruler ran deeper: dismantle the weapons pipeline that Doflamingo ran selling arms to rival nations. Chinjao carried a private grudge as well, having sworn vengeance on the Garp bloodline after Monkey D. Garp once flattened his pointed skull and stripped him of his strength. That feud drew him toward Luffy in the colosseum.

Inside the C and B Block brawls, Chinjao tried to kill Luffy, only for the young pirate to overpower him and accidentally reshape his head, lifting the old grudge. The clan was later betrayed, dumped in the underground port, and turned into toys, with Sai and Boo abducted and Chinjao robbed of his memories until Sugar's collapse restored everyone. During the revolt against the Donquixote Family, Sai's clash with Lao G awakened his power, prompting Chinjao to pass on the Hasshoken secret technique Drill Dragon and hand him control of the Happo Navy. Sai then declared he would wed Baby 5 and felled Lao G. Afterward Sai pledged loyalty to Luffy as the third division commander of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, married Baby 5 back home, and represented the family at the Levely.
