Roshio Pirates

This small band sails under the command of Roshio. Their flag bears a red circle framing the black silhouette of a hanged man, a grim emblem for the group. Most of the crew appear to wear the band's trademark headband, and they show clear devotion to their captain, rushing to carry him to a doctor the moment he was injured.

The crew's notable moment came in Mock Town, where Roshio fairly beat Bellamy in a card game. Bellamy responded by accusing him of cheating and savagely assaulting him, finishing Roshio off with his Spring Hopper technique when the crew tried to tend to his wounds. Around the same time, another crew member was beaten down by Jesus Burgess. The fate of the rest of the band afterward was left unclear. Two years later, Roshio was again seen in Mock Town, watching Vegapunk's worldwide broadcast with a stern look while much of the crowd jeered at the scientist's claims.

Roshio captains the crew and carries a bounty of forty-two million. The manga shows only two members, Roshio and the crewmate knocked out by Jesus Burgess, whereas the anime expands the scene and adds the moment of Burgess first challenging that member, along with the crew's attempt to treat their fallen captain.
