As Kaidou hauls himself upright, stunned that the punch truly hurt, Big Mom scolds Luffy for his brash claim to the throne. The same shock grips Zoro and Kid at seeing the strike connect, and Killer allows himself a flicker of hope. Puzzling over who could have trained the rookie since their clash back in Kuri, Kaidou glimpses five towering silhouettes rising behind him, those of Roger, Rocks, Whitebeard, Shanks, and Oden, and he cannot help a grin. Luffy foresees the Raimei Hakke through Observation Haki, is caught regardless, yet holds his ground this time, which draws Kaidou's respect.
Big Mom loosens Prometheus on Luffy, and Zoro answers with Kin'emon's Foxfire Style, cleaving the flame homie apart. Before Kaidou can strike again, Law's Shambles yanks Luffy to safety, touching off squabbling as Kid needles Law for looking like Luffy's underling.
