Bartholomew Kuma slams into the Red Line and tumbles to the Red Port, throwing its citizens into panic. He rises despite the damage as alarms urge evacuation and the Marines are summoned, his purpose and programming a mystery. On Egghead, Lucci insists on ignoring orders to wait for backup, flatly refusing to recognize Luffy as an Emperor. In Labophase, Shaka notes that CP0 has likely destroyed any ship the group could flee on, but he restrains an eager Lilith from charging out, stressing that their one duty is to get the real Vegapunk away unharmed.

As a last resort, Vegapunk contacts a hidden ally on the island, knowing the move will paint a target on that person, and the ally gladly agrees to help. Lilith offers to carry everyone to port aboard Vegaforce-01. Suddenly the Frontier Dome's defenses switch off, letting CP0 infiltrate Labophase. Kaku tries to destroy the Thousand Sunny with a Rankyaku, only for a freshly woken Zoro to block it and square off against his old foe. Luffy, Chopper, and Jinbe rejoin the crew, but Bonney has slipped away to chase Vegapunk, demanding he restore her father, and he confesses it cannot be done while hinting at a reason.

Elsewhere the Kid Pirates reach their chosen destination, the giants' homeland of Elbaf. At the G-14 base, Doll balks at Garp's unsanctioned plan, but Garp summons Helmeppo, who feels powerless over Koby's abduction, and announces an assault on Hachinosu to free him.
