Roar

Crocodile's command that Vivi and Koza never meet rings in the agents' minds as Koza leads more than two million rebels toward Alubarna, the charge so massive it rattles the cannonballs in the city's fortifications. Vivi and the steadfast Karoo stand directly in the army's path. As Koza orders his men through the South Gate to dismantle the defenses from within, Vivi screams that the whole war is a trap. Her cry catches Koza's ear, but a cannon shot erupts between them, kicking up a blinding cloud. Inside the walls, Chaka berates the soldier who fired early; the man feigns an accident, though he is a planted Baroque Works agent who triggered it on purpose.

The rebels storm onward through the dust, and Koza, hearing Vivi's voice yet dismissing it as imagination, gallops right past her unseen.

Vivi is struck down by the oncoming camel riders, saved only when Karoo throws himself over her and absorbs the trampling. Chaka orders the cannons fired and sends the royal infantry to meet the rebels, igniting the full battle. Bruised but unbroken, Vivi vows to reach the clash, recalling the Straw Hats' lesson never to surrender. A horseback Usopp appears offering escape, but Vivi grows suspicious when he refers to Karoo coldly and ignores their bond. She demands proof; he shows a cloth on his left arm, and she instantly knows he is fake. Karoo scoops her up and bolts as the imposter reverts to Mr. 2, who, having learned of the crew's armbands from Crocodile, sets off in pursuit.

The Alubarna war officially begins here, and Mr. 2 is shown to have already beaten Usopp and Matsuge offscreen before chasing Vivi. The cover launches a new serial, Hatchan's Sea-Floor Stroll, as a six-armed figure dives from a Marine ship into the open sea.
