Chapter 302: Finale

The Shandia stay puzzled that the crew bolted before any gift could be offered, doubting the pirates ever realized the depth of their gratitude. Gan Fall confesses the thinking of these young pirates is beyond him. As Raki snips Aisa's hair, she teases that Aisa proved the cunning one, the single person to land a real farewell with the crew. Aisa explains that Luffy asked her to keep it quiet and spoke of how strong the blue sea fighters are, leaving her longing to stretch her own arms out far the way he does.

The Shandia Chief requests that Gan Fall resume his role as Skypiea's God, and he agrees. Raki promises Aisa a lighter trim this time, since the island's newfound peace means the girl no longer needs cropped hair or weapons, a remark that draws a smile from her. Honoring Kalgara, Wyper and the warriors at his side pledge to hold onto their pride and never again let the Light of Shandora fade. Carried by an Octopus Balloon, the Straw Hat Pirates start down toward the Blue Seas and bid Skypiea goodbye.

This serves as the final installment of the Sky Island Saga, and likewise wraps up the Skypiea Arc. The warriors renew their oath over the Light of Shandora, and the crew leaves the sky island. The cover advances Ace's Great Blackbeard Search at volume 27, where Moda joyfully reunites with her parents serving aboard G-2's canteen ship. Brought to the screen in Episode 195.
