Franky watches Usopp fall quickly to Kaku, and CP9 elects to bring the sniper too, since he still claims the pirate's life even after parting from the crew. As Kalifa moves to bind him, Kaku heads for the Going Merry, restates that the vessel is fit only for scrapping, and lets the water loose, sending the ship pitching into the violent waves while Franky and Usopp watch in dread. Over at the Galley-La offices, Iceburg comes to, to everyone's relief, though no one knows what to do about Chopper, an enemy who nonetheless saved Iceburg's life. When Nami also comes to, Iceburg asks the others to step out so he can speak with her in private, and the puzzled shipwrights leave the two alone.

Having confirmed that Robin changed soon after reaching the island, Iceburg concludes the World Government launched its scheme at that moment. He stuns Nami by revealing that he and Robin can both awaken a weapon capable of ending the world, then recounts the standoff during which Robin guarded him. After he refused to trade the blueprints, swearing he would sooner give up his life, Robin said she wished only to study history, and the two quarreled until he demanded why she would help a government she so despises.

Robin explains she wants her own wish granted and was handed two terms: frame the crew, then submit to the World Government afterward. Her leverage is a Buster Call, which summons ten warships alongside five vice admirals, and which, on this single occasion with Aokiji's clearance, would be unleashed against the Straw Hats should CP9 demand it. She admits she has only evaded capture for twenty years because she had nothing to defend, a thing no longer true, and that her wish is for the six other crew members to leave the island unharmed, even should Pluton stir and ruin the planet. Hearing that Robin never betrayed them, Nami buckles in relief, then dashes off to share the news, telling Iceburg the crew grows far stronger once their minds are set.

While Nami works to rouse Chopper, the reindeer thinks back on the words Sanji gave him when their group parted earlier. Over at the Blue Station, the final railway readies for departure as Robin reaches the waiting Corgi with Sanji observing from nearby. The chapter confirms CP9 hauling Robin, Franky, and now Usopp toward Enies Lobby, Kaku releasing the Merry into the sea as Aqua Laguna nears, the truth that Robin sacrificed herself rather than turning traitor, and Sanji waiting at the station where the railway will soon set out. Its cover opens a Goldenweek side story whose first installment, titled A House in the Jungle, shows a dinosaur puzzling over a nearly indestructible little hut on a certain island. The chapter is part of the Water 7 Arc.
