Guarding the way into the inner island, Oimo and Kashii move to keep the Franky Family from breaking through. The group's Kairiki Destroyers, its mightiest fighters, hurl themselves at the two giants to test their strength, only to be brushed aside despite being the strongest of the bunch. Refusing to fold, they keep striking at the gate and the giants, yet nothing lands. With defeat looming, Sodom and Gomorrah storm in and, aided by Paulie, Zambai, and Mozu and Kiwi, topple Kashii.

Somewhere else on the island, a Marine begins relaying casualty figures to Spandam but is struck unconscious mid-report, leaving Spandam under the impression that only five men, not five hundred, have gone down. He is then told the rest of CP9 has arrived. Aboard the Rocketman, the crew still waiting, having already sat through the agreed five minutes, braces to smash straight into Enies Lobby.

Working together, the Franky Family and the Galley-La Company bring Kashii to the ground. Fed a broken report, Spandam concludes that Luffy has downed a mere five soldiers. The remaining CP9 agents arrive on the scene. The Rocketman, with the Straw Hats aboard, closes in and is about to plow into the judicial island.
