Chapter 424, Escape Ship, sees the rescued crew huddled aboard their getaway vessel as Kokoro's mermaid nature comes to light. The Buster Call razes Enies Lobby, Luffy fights on against Lucci in the wreckage, and he flips to Gear 2 at the close.
Franky and Robin finish securing the transport for the crew's flight, and Kokoro bursts up out of the sea shouting for nobody to die. The giants, along with the Franky Family and the foremen of Galley-La, make it to the main gate before halting at the sight of warships already anchored offshore. As marines board, their vice admiral in command insists each man state his unit, quarter, code, and produce a photo ID, and the soldiers are only relieved to survive. Once the marines are dealt with, the vessels back away from the coast and begin shelling the island.
By the bridge, the crew stand dazed on deck, and Franky tells Kokoro that her own bellow triggered the near-death shock. As the swordsman, the sniper, and the cook shake it off, the sight of Kokoro sparks talk of whether dugongs really pass for mermaids; Usopp doubts a mermaid could have legs while Sanji denies the whole business. Kokoro explains that a mermaid's tail splits in two at age thirty, letting her walk ashore, and says they will see proof at Fish-Man Island. When the cook lunges to hug Robin, Nami and Chopper beat him to her, the impact sending him headfirst into the mast. Up top, Zoro watches Enies Lobby ablaze as Franky passes along the order to take Robin alive, guessing the marines will close in once the bombardment ends. Smoke near the bridge tells them Luffy still battles Lucci, and Zoro advises against interfering. Cannon fire knocks the Franky Family over the edge, and the chapter ends as Luffy switches on Gear 2.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
Everyone but Luffy has regrouped, and Kokoro fills the crew in on Fish-Man Island. The cover launches the Where They Are Now feature: now that the once-dreaded Upper Yard lies open to everyone, Conis takes a walk across Vearth in the company of Aisa, Raki, and Nola, while old foes among the Shandia and Skypieans have turned calm enough that they now share picnics.
