Chapter 471

Having scattered most of the crew, Oars hunts for the three he has not yet found: Luffy, Nami, and Usopp. Perona, shaken from her clash with Usopp, races back to discover the mansion wrecked. The zombies tell her Oars is responsible and that he has flattened every zombie general too. When his fist smashes through the wall asking after the girl, Perona assumes he wants her, since he earlier crushed Hogback, though he is actually searching for Nami. Panicked, she resolves to seize the Thousand Sunny and flee Thriller Bark.

At the ceremony, Nami comes to and slips clear of Absalom's binding kiss, evading his repeated attempts. Lola storms in and brands Nami a traitor, swinging her swords until Nami realizes the disappearance was deliberate. Lola admits the whole thing was staged to help her escape, and an enraged Absalom knocks Lola out cold. Furious, Nami draws her Clima-Tact and drops Absalom in a single Thunder Charge, then rushes to Lola, who reveals she had known all along that Nami was a woman. Elsewhere, the beaten crew rises again to confront Oars.

Part of the Thriller Bark Arc, the chapter confirms Absalom's defeat by Nami, Lola's awareness of Nami's identity, and Perona's plan to steal the Thousand Sunny. Chopper, Franky, Sanji, Usopp, Robin, and Zoro ready themselves to face Oars once more. The color spread cover shows the crew exploring an undersea ruin atop manta rays amid octopi, dolphins, and whales. Brook appears knocked out in the Florian Triangle.
