Further off, Chopper lands in the South Blue's Torino Kingdom, tormented first by giant birds and then by villagers eager to cook him into stew. On the gloomy Kuraigana Island, the sulking Perona discovers the unconscious Zoro, bandages him, and is met with his furious demand for his swords once he wakes. The threads converge on the coming clash as Marineford fills with elite officers.

Six days remain before Ace's execution, and the Marine stronghold gathers heavyweights such as Smoker and the admirals, rattled by the loss of their ships tailing Whitebeard. At Mary Geoise the remaining Warlords assemble, everyone except Hancock and Jinbe, though the notion of these rivals cooperating strikes observers as absurd.
